Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at Carey Ridge! The PTO is excited for another year of partnership with Carey Ridge parents and staff.

Volunteering with the PTO is a great way to stay connected to your child's experience at Carey Ridge. Think of volunteering with the PTO like a restaurant menu—pick the tasks that fit your time, talents, and appetite for helping out. Committees
Marketing & Publicity Committee
The Marketing & Publicity Committee helps as needed to spread the word for PTO events and programs. Volunteers are needed throughout the school year for designing marketing material, social media content creation and posting, welcoming families at events, making copies, etc.

Student Social Committee
The Student Social Committee plans events throughout the school year to promote student engagement. Events include Carey Ridge's Homecoming Parade float, playground get togethers, game nights, Trunk or Treat, etc. Volunteers are needed throughout the school year for planning, marketing, and day-of coordination.

Community Partners Committee
The Community Partners Committee plans opportunities throughout the school year to engage and work together with local businesses. Events include Indy Fuel Hockey Games, UPaint Pottery Night at Carey Ridge, Dine to Donate/No Cook Nights, Pacers Games, local shopping events, etc. Volunteers are needed throughout the school year for planning, communication, and publicity.

Spirit Wear Committee
The Spirit Wear Committee plans and coordinates the sale of Carey Ridge Spirit Wear (Carey Ridge branded apparel) throughout the school year to promote school spirit. Volunteers are needed for planning and marketing.

Fundraisers
Fun Run fundraiser
The Carey Ridge PTO holds their annual Fun Run fundraiser in September at Carey Ridge Elementary School. Carey Ridge students fundraise and then have their celebration Fun Run at school. All proceeds go to Carey Ridge student and staff enrichment programs. Volunteers are needed in August and September for planning, marketing, and day-of coordination.

Cheers to CRES fundraiser
The Carey Ridge PTO holds their annual Cheers to CRES fundraiser in March. This adult only fundraiser is a night of trivia, food & drinks, and a silent auction. All proceeds go to the Carey Ridge PTO educational grant program. Volunteers are needed in January-March for planning, fundraising, and day-of coordination.

Monthly Staff Appreciation Snacks/Lunches
The Carey Ridge PTO hosts monthly snacks or lunches to show appreciation for the amazing staff at Carey Ridge. Volunteers are needed throughout the school year to provide snack/lunch items, set up and clean up, and run the snacks/lunches.

Staff Appreciation Week
The Carey Ridge PTO celebrates the wonderful Carey Ridge staff annually in May during Staff Appreciation Week. Volunteers are needed in May for planning and week-of coordination.

Room Parent
Room Parent
Carey Ridge Room Parents serve as liaisons between families, teachers, and the PTO. Room parents share information from the PTO to families, coordinate classroom party volunteers, organize a teacher gift, and lead 3 classroom parties. Room parent responsibilities are throughout the school year.

Winter Carnival
The Carey Ridge PTO holds their annual Winter Carnival in January at Carey Ridge Elementary School. This is a free event for Carey Ridge students and their families. Volunteers are needed in November-January for planning, marketing, and day-of coordination.
